Each broom is meticulously crafted with care. Using found branches gathered from around Savannah Georgia and the surrounding low country, I work to unveil the beauty of these overlooked materials in every piece. The branches are lovingly debarked, carved, sanded to perfection, treated with nourishing oils to reveal their beautiful colors and forms, and then sealed to ensure that your broom remains a lasting treasure. When you run your fingers over the smooth wood, you're feeling the love and dedication poured into every piece as well as it’s connection to the land.
Magic Woven Within:
Meticulously bound and positioned, these bristles embrace both tradition and utility. They are woven together with care using broomcorn, also known as sorghum, a material that brings not only physical resilience but is continuing a centuries old tradition of broomcorn craft throughout America. As I weave these bristles I draw whenever I can from my knowledge of color magic, numerology, and textile history. The result? A broom that not only complements your space but infuses it with its own energy. It's a conduit for intentions, a vessel for energy, and a channel for magic.
